Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, write, maintain, and coordinate training modules for a variety of hourly associates in all functions and processes in the customer order fulfillment center, such as inbound, putaway, pick, sort, pack and ship.
2. Develop Standard work instructions (SWIs), which are written instructions that describe the most efficient way to perform a specific task or job.
3. Be responsible for tracking and improving the learning curves for new hires, full-time & part-time trainers, and coordinate with Safety, HR for relevant training activities.
4. Develop and conduct onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring they are familiar with company policies, safety procedures, and job responsibilities.
5. Identify skill gaps among existing warehouse personnel and develop training initiatives to enhance their skills in areas such as material handling, picking and packing, and quality control.
6. Collaborate with the Safety Department to create and deliver safety training programs, emphasizing the importance of compliance with safety regulations and the proper use of personal protective equipment.
7. Conduct training sessions through various mediums, including classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and e-learning platforms.
8. Implement methods for assessing the effectiveness of training programs and individual trainee performance.
9. Provide constructive feedback and additional coaching as needed to address performance improvement opportunities.
10. Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, performance evaluations, and training materials.
11. Generate regular reports on training effectiveness and make recommendations for adjustments or improvements.
12. Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging trends, and changes in warehouse operations to continuously enhance training programs.
13. Collaborate with department managers to incorporate operational updates into training materials.
